The Australian rider will make the next step on the Road to MotoGP™ as part of support programs from Dorna and Red Bull.

Since 2017, Dorna and Red Bull have run a talent promotion program to support a rider from the Hawkers European Talent Cup to move into the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup the following season. In 2020, the chosen rider is Australian Harrison Voight.

Voight took his first steps on the Road to MotoGP™ in 2019 as he joined the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup. The youngest rider in the field, his progression was impressive and Voight was a frontrunner from the off in 2020 - taking a debut podium in Round 1 in Qatar. From there, the Gold Coast native joined the Hawkers European Talent Cup and put together an impressive rookie season, finishing 2020 in the top ten overall and taking two podiums.

Voight will now gear up for a new challenge with some new rivals as he takes on the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, adding another impressive accomplishment to his already notable CV.

The same opportunity will be offered to one of the top competitors in the Hawkers European Talent Cup next season, with Dorna and Red Bull committed to giving another talent in the HETC the chance to race in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.
